Give and Let Give #15: 4/18 - 4/24

WRITTEN BY

Mirror, mirror on the wall, what's the fairest trade of them all? The Queen is not the fairest in the universe, but it is a legend, reserved in it's beauty.

While this trade is AMAZING and I've always LOVED the art, it's a tricky card to play. A player can definitely see this coming, since it needs to be sacrificed during your upkeep. 6 is also an expensive price to pay when any piece of artifact removal can deal with it before your turn.

It's obvious the price tag comes from it's age and beauty over it's playability.

Is it playable in EDH other than for style points? According to EDHREC it's only in 116 decks out of 514,511. If you do want to play an effect like this you can cast either Magus of the Mirror or Soul Conduit for around 50 PucaPoints. Even those are rarely played.

Despite the playability, this is one to hang on the wall.

Thanks to Peter Twieg, this marks the second week in a row he has sent out the trade of the week. Who can top him?
