Platform Updates

WRITTEN BY

Hello PucaTraders

Welcome to 2020! I hope the holidays were good to you all. This post will be on the shorter side, but I wanted to bring you some platform news and updates. In our efforts to keep PucaTrade financially viable, we're making a couple of changes to the platform.

Infrastructure Resizing

This is a change that you probably have not noticed but in mid-December, Mitch downsized our server infrastructure—now our infrastructure is more fitting for our current utilization and it costs quite a bit less. For those who aren't tech-savvy, this is just a fancy way of saying we were paying for something we were not using, so now we've cut some of that out. In 2020 we're looking to continue this effort with some optimization of the back-end queries to help the system run leaner.

MTGO Support Discontinued

There has been a great deal of focus on MTG Arena lately, and this has caused a dropoff in MTGO Trades on PucaTrade. Over the last few months, MTGO trades have only been 3–4% of our total trade activity—for this reason, we've decided to remove support for MTGO from the platform. This change will happen 30 days from today, so be sure to pick up any MTGO trades that you have pending and complete any MTGO business before then.

That's all I have for today. I will try to keep the information flowing through the front page. I'll see you on the Nexus!
