Logging in today you might have noticed some changes on PucaTrade. This is the latest code push from our developers, and I'll be walking you through these changes in this article. Are you ready? Let's GO!
One of the most visible changes is our menu treatment. We've put many links under a "More" submenu and we moved "Settings" to the top right as a "gear" icon. We made this change to align with our goal to simplify the PucaTrade interface. We hope that changes like this will reduce the cognitive load that is required to use the site and make the experience better for all our members.
You can now filter out offers below a certain bonus threshold. This will allow members (who have their "haves" list up-to-date) to find the best offers for their cards. I'd also like to note that we have set the "Promoted Trades" filter to the default filter for new members and we set the default to 50%, which will help to ensure that new members make the highest value trades.
Point Trends and Market Price Testing
On the topic of making high-value trades we have also provided a trade history of the card—you can find this on the card info page below the card. It includes that last 10 trades and a calculated market bonus and price. For now, this feature is here to study what a PucaPoint market price would look like. There are many factors that can skew this data, like shadow trades, price spikes, low trade activity, and trades at index value. Please take this information with a grain of salt. We will be working on controls and policies that will tighten this data up in hopes that we can establish a strong PucaPoint market price.
Set "Any Edition" for Wants
This is a new feature that allows you to request any edition for a card on your want list. You can set this up on an individual card or in your settings to always select this for new wants.
Tiered Feature: Mass Promotion Update
You can now set a bonus for all your wants at once. This feature is currently available for Rare members. As part of our commitment to improving the site, we also want to provide value-added features to tiered members. This feature is an excellent candidate for that and will model the kind of features we want to offer to our tiered members in the future.
Along with these new features there have also been some bug fixes which you can read about here in the change log. I hope this code push has been a nice surprise for you. We are working regularly in the background on refining PucaTrade and make it a platform that you enjoy using. Until next time, give and let give.
