PucaTrade Update

WRITTEN BY

Hello PucaTraders!

I have an important announcement to make, but I also have to do some "paperwork" and talk about the new features that were launched this last weekend. Rather than make two articles and risk that one might be missed (and also to prevent having too many pictures of my face on the nexus), I've decided to combine them into one article. Let's start with the boring paperwork first:

New Features

I wrote to you a couple of weeks back to give you a look at some changes that we were planning on making with the platform. Those changes have been carried out and are now live on the site! You can read the full change list here. Be sure to go back to version v3.7.64 2019-06-25 to see all the changes that were made. I'll highlight some of the changes not mentioned in the previous article here:

  • Reduced the number of articles shown on the nexus — We've taken focus and attention away from the content side of the site and focused our efforts on our overall vision and material changes to the platform; this change helps to get more important data on the screen. We may compress this area even more in the future to utilize space on the front page better.
  • Only cards above 1,000 points will be shown on the trade scroller — In the past, the scroller showed all cards being confirmed received at a given moment. With this change, we've chosen to highlight the higher value cards and filter out some of the smaller stuff. If you liked seeing all the cards, don't worry! You can now click on the text "Trades Right Now" to see cards of all value being confirmed.
  • A Discord link has been added to the menu on the right — Our Discord server is very active and full of helpful members. Giving everyone who uses the site easy access to it has been a long time coming.
  • The blue question mark — This now points to more options for members who are looking for help, specifically a link to email the admin team, a link to a special channel on our Discord server, and a link to the Puca Help Center.

Welcome Devon

Now for the moment, you skipped over the last few paragraphs for! I'm excited to announce a new owner and a new voice inside PucaTeam: Devon Endres. Anyone who's added MTGO tickets to your want list probably knows who Devon is, but for those of you who don't, he's been a pillar of our community from the time he joined. Last year he approached the PucaTeam about becoming an owner, and after some time courting the idea and comparing our visions, we all agreed that it would be beneficial to have Devon on board.

As of writing Devon doesn't have an official role on the PucaTeam, but he has been working behind the scenes with myself and the rest of the team offering his insight and energy. We have some really cool things planned for the release of Core 2020 and some platform changes that we are working toward gradually. Devon has his own article coming out soon where you can read a bit of his origins story and hopes for our platform.

If you have questions about anything discussed in this article, I am reachable in Discord or feel free to stop by one of the live streams we'll be doing next week. Those will be announced on social media so make sure you're following our Twitter account and "like" our Facebook Page.

Until then, Give and Let Give!
