New Features are Live!

Hello PucaTraders!

I hope your holidays are going well! I wanted to take a moment to highlight our new feature set which is now LIVE! If you've been following along at home, then you know that this feature set has been available to Uncommon and Rare members for some time via Flux. Now all members have access to the features by simply using the site. Here's what changed:

Promotions are FREE to Create

This does not mean there are no fees associated with promotions, only that the fees will be charged when a trade is committed instead of when you create the promotion. This means that you will only pay a fee when someone sends you a card. It also means you can promote as many cards as you like without paying a single PucaPoint! For more information about how to promote click here

One big change to the promotion feature is that you can now offer a dynamic percentage on a card. This means that your offer will rise and fall with the price of the card—this will help you keep your offers current with the market. Premium members can use this feature in conjunction with the "Max Price" feature to keep tighter control of their offers as well.

Promotion Percentages are Easier to See

In addition to the above changes, we added some more tools to help with visibility of promotions and packages. This is to help members find the best value for their trade more quickly and efficiently. Here are some examples of the new percentages in action:

Here you'll see the percentages in the Package View. Notice that there are percentages for the whole package and the individual promoted cards.

In this example, removing the other two cards from the package only improves the total package by 1%. This is the kind of information that can help you make informed decisions about trading. Below is a picture of the package with the other two cards removed (63% overall bonus). This overall package percentage is dynamic and will recalculate as you add and remove other cards.

Naturally, we've also added the bonus percent to the list view as well. You can see that below.

Known Issue

This feature rollout is a good foundation to build on, but there are still some things that we can do improve the code—you can see some of our ideas for that here in the "Version Two" section. Beyond these planned improvements, there is one known issue with the current code that you should be aware of:

Changing the condition of a card does not edit the package total or percentage — This issue occurs in the send trade screen.

The development team will be working on these bugs and expanding the feature in 2019. For more details on this feature set, you can see a detailed list of the changes in the change log. I'll be back with another article in 2019 until then, have a great end to 2018.
